[edit] The hotel
The Disneyland hotel is the most luxurious hotel at Disneyland Resort Paris. Situated over the entrance to the park, it has an elegant Victorian theme.

Although the Disneyland hotel is located opposite the entrance to the park, you'd think that this would make it a busy noisy place, but in fact it is a peaceful & relaxed hotel.
You can be in the park within 2 minutes of leaving your hotel room, and this enables you to take an hour’s break when you feel like it - particularly important for those with small children.
There are 2 restaurants – Inventions and the California Grill. Inventions is buffet style, whilst the California Grill is table service serving gourmet (and pricy) food. If you want to eat here in the evening you really should reserve a table as they become booked quickly.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and is taken in either restaurant. It is buffet style with an excellent and tasty selection of cereals, cold meats/cheese, hot bacon/eggs etc, fruit, yoghurt and a selection of continental breads & pastries. Fruit juice is also available.
One major plus for those with small children is that the Disney characters are in the corridors on the way to breakfast. The characters interact well with the children.
Rooms are a standard 4 star affair, with a lovely twin sink bathroom (including bath & shower) and twin double beds. Cots are available free of charge upon request. The only disappointments with the room are no tea & coffee making facilities (although kettles are available free on request), no Disney channel on the TV in English (I know some French, but the children don’t!) and the fact that heating and air-conditioning are not available in the hotel simultaneously. This last fact is hotel wide, meaning that everyone has access to heating or air conditioning but not both and that this is at the hotel’s discretion. This may not seem relevant until you realise that on a mild autumn/winter day the room can feel like Tahiti with no way of turning down the thermostat although some windows do open.
The hotel staff (or cast as Disney likes to call them) are dressed up in period costumes and are very friendly.
The swimming pool and nice and warm, and although small, is perfectly usable unless crowded. Please note that the pool is all one depth, this being up to about the average persons chest. There is also a Jacuzzi (no under twelves) and a pleasant changing area.
Disney Village is about a 3 minute walk, whilst the Studios are about 2 minutes away.
[edit] Castle Club
You may hear about the hotel’s castle club and its separate reception & lift to the park. This is significantly more expensive and not worth the difference out of season as the main hotel reception is not busy and the lift saves all of about ½ minute. In peak season the unlimited fastpass, that comes with castle club rooms only, could prove invaluable. Out of season, there is no need for a fastpass as there is never more than a 5 minute queue on any of the rides.
Overall – if you can get it at a cheep rate (about £500 for 3 nights including park tickets in the autumn) then make sure that you book this hotel – you won’t be disappointed. If however you are going in peak season, it would be difficult to justify over £2000 for the same package.
