[edit] The Disneyland Park
The Disneyland Park is the first and largest park at Disneyland Resort Paris, opening at the same time as the resort on 12th April 1992. When it opened the park contained 29 attractions, today the park map lists 48 attractions in five different lands. The Park is also the largest Disney park based on the original in California.

"To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Once upon a time... a master storyteller, Walt Disney, inspired by Europe's best loved tales, used his own special gifts to share them with the world. He envisioned a Magic Kingdom where these stories would come to life, and called it Disneyland.

The Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park is divided into 5 lands, each with its own theme and attractions:
[edit] Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. is where you enter the park. It's made to look like an American town at the beginning of the 20th century, complete with horse-drawn streetcar and gas lamps. As the name implies, this is the main street of the park. Most of Main Street consists of boutiques and restaurants, the Disneyland Railroad has its main station here, and the parade goes through it.
[edit] Frontierland
Frontierland is where you'll find cowboys and indians: the Wild West. This is the location for a 'real' fort, old riverboats and a deserted mine complete with runaway train.
[edit] Adventureland
Adventureland ranges from deep jungles and the Caribbean to Eastern bazaars. You can discover all kinds of things in strange caves, and visit Captain Hooks Ship from the film Peter Pan. You'll also find Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril and Pirates of the Caribbean here.
[edit] Fantasyland
Fantasyland is where you will find all the classic fairytales. Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant stands here, and can be seen from the entire park. One of most popular attractions here is It's a Small World.
[edit] Discoveryland
In Discoveryland you can see how people like Jules Verne and H.G. Wells saw the future. The most popular attraction of Discoveryland is the recently improved Space Mountain: Mission 2. The newest attraction of Disneyland Resort Paris, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, is here too.
[edit] Comparison to other Disney parks
All the other Disneyland parks around the world served as an example when Disneyland Park was built. The biggest difference between Disneyland Park in Paris and the other parks, is that this Disneyland doesn't have a Tomorrowland, but instead has Discoveryland. Tomorrowland is a modern view into the future, but Discoveryland shows what people in the past thought the future would look like. Disneyland Paris also doesn't have a Haunted Mansion on Orleans Square, but has instead Phantom Manor in Frontierland. According to the fans, the versions of Space Mountain and Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant in Disneyland Resort Paris are better than those in other Disney parks. Although the Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant is the smallest castle of all the parks, it looks better, according to fans. Many fans from different Disney Resorts also agree that we have the best Big Thunder Mountain.
