The main entrance of Fantasyland is unmissable - Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, the Disneyland Park icon. When you walk under the castle you enter a land of fairytales and dreams. The first thing you'll probably see is La Carrousel de Lancelot, a hystorical carrousel. On the right you see one of the finest restaurants in the whole Resort: Auberge de Cendrillon. And on the same 'block' are the boutiques La Ménagerie du Royaume and Sir Mickey's. Looking to the left you see the shop of the seven dwarfs: La Chaumière des Sept Nains, where you can buy your favorite princess dress. If you walk by it you walk past the Snowwhite attraction: Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains. Right next to it is Pinocchio Fantastic Journey which tells the story of Pinocchio. When you make a turn to the left you'll have Au Chalet de la Marionnette on your left hand where you can eat in Gepetto's workshop. Across the little canal is Peter Pan's Flight where you fly through this story. Next to this wonderful attraction is the Toad Hall Restaurant which serves traditional fish 'n' chips. From the terrace you can see the flying elephants fly by from the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction. You can also see a beautiful building, the Fantasy Festival Stage. The entrance to the Disneyland Railroad Fantasyland Station is right next to this building, up the stairs. The next attraction you'll walk by is Alice's Curious Labyrinth where you can experience how Alice would have felt. Opposite this attraction are the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups if you want to turn around and round and round... Walking on we see a path that will lead us under the tracks of the Disneyland Railroad to another two attractions: Le Pays des Contes de Fées where you sail past several scenes from different fairytales. The second attraction is Casey Jr, le Petit Train du Cirque where you can ride Casey Jr., the train from Dumbo's movie. The next stop is It's a Small World, the ride almost everyone knows and nobody will forget. If we continue our tour we walk past the Pizzeria Bella Notte where you can get a pizza or some pasta and right next to it is Fantasia Gelati where you can get your dessert. Walking between two towers Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant comes into view again with the Royal Castle Stage in front of it.

[edit] Attractions

Fantasyland's attractions are aimed at children and are not therefore as thrilling as those in other lands. The main attraction of Fantasyland is Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, which can be seen from almost anywhere in the Disneyland Park. Take a trip upstairs in the castle to find La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant which tells the story of Sleeping Beauty through the medium of stained glass. The castle dungeons are home to La Tanière du Dragon, the dragon that protects the castle. The Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains and Pinocchio Fantastic Journey have the same ride-system taking you on a trip through various scenes of the stories. Although the Snow White attraction can be more frightening for children than the Pinocchio attraction. Peter Pan's Flight is more exciting because you actually fly over London and Neverland! Le Carrousel de Lancelot and the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups are more classical funfair attractions but no less fun to ride. Alice's Curious Labyrinth is a more peaceful attraction where you can walk through a maze at your own pace. Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin is an all but forgotten attraction - a mini ferris wheel - that is open only occasionally during peak attendance days. Dumbo the Flying Elephant is very popular with small kids resulting in long queues. Le Pays des Contes de Fées is another 'slow' attraction where you float past several movie scenes, an ideal moment for a short rest. After this short rest you can ride Casey Jr., le Petit Train du Cirque, an easy rollercoaster suitable for small kids. One of the most popular attractions is It's a Small World where you float through different areas of the world but all people are alike. If you want to visit another land you can board the Disneyland Railroad at the Disneyland Railroad Fantasyland Station.

[edit] Restaurants

Fantasyland is also the place for a varied meal. In Auberge de Cendrillon you can enjoy a chique French meal in an 18th century French countryside atmosphere. If you're more into the English country inn then [[Toad Hall Restaurant]} is your place to eat. Here they serve fish and chips and several other English dishes. Pizzeria Bella Notte is an Italian styled restaurant inspired by the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp. Another restaurant inspired by a Disney classic is Au Chalet de la Marionnette, of course inspired by Pinocchio. Here they serve hamburgers and roasted chicken. If you want a dessert you can go the Fantasia Gelati where they serve Italian ice cream. If you're searching for a quick snack and drink you can go to March Hare Refreshments or The Old Mill.

La Boutique du Château is one of two boutiques located in Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant and sells christmas decorations all year long. The other boutique is Merlin L'Enchanteur where they make glass ornaments. If you require sweets, you must visit La Confiserie des Trois Fées. If you're searching for childrens clothes La Chaumière des Sept Nains and Le Brave Petit Tailleur (one of two boutiques inside Sir Mickey's) are the boutiques for you. If you're more into soft toys La Ménagerie du Royaume (the other boutique in Sir Mickey's) is your shop. La Boutique de Geppetto is the boutique at the end of the Pinocchio Fantastic Journey attraction. One of the smaller boutiques is La Petite Maison des Jouets close to Alice's Curious Labyrinth.
