[edit] General

Frontierland is the land of the cowboys and Indians, the far west!

[edit] Walkthrough

When you stand on Central Plaza in Main Street, U.S.A. and turn left you will see an old fort - Fort Comstock. This old fort, home of the Legends of the Wild West, is the entrance to a land of cowboys, Indians, gold and curses. Walking through this fort you'll see a big mountain with a mine train speeding between the tops. This is Big Thunder Mountain, a mine train gone wild. Don't run straight towards it, instead take a look around. On your left you see The Lucky Nugget Saloon, a Western Saloon complete with can-can show. On your right you see the Tobias Norton & Sons - Frontier Traders where you can buy your Western outfit. When you walk down the path on your left (past The Lucky Nugget Saloon) you'll walk towards the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing. They will take you for a peaceful trip over the Rivers of the Far West. Further down the path you see an old mansion that looks rather creepy, it's Phantom Manor, come in if you dare! Don't forget to visit the graveyard in the gardens. Walking back, you pass the Silver Spur Steakhouse and the Last Chance Cafe where you can enjoy an original Western-style menu. When you've past The Lucky Nugget Saloon again you see the Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery on your left where you can test your shooting skills. Continuing down the path you walk past the entrance to Big Thunder Mountain and you hear the mine train rush through the tunnels. On your right is the Fuente del Oro Restaurante from where you can watch the dare-devils board the mine trains. Next to the Fuente del Oro Restaurante is a connection to Adventureland but we'll continue further down into Frontierland of course. Around the corner you enter a large square with the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue-restuarant on the left. When you walk straight on you enter the Pocahontas Indian Village where the little cowboys can play all they want and where the parents can sit and enjoy the view of The Rivers of the Far West and Big Thunder Mountain. When you walk back and turn left before the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue you walk straight towards the Disneyland Railroad Frontierland Depot where you can take the train towards Fantasyland. But you might want to see one of the shows in the Chaparral Theatre. Or visit the farm animals in Critter Corral.

[edit] Attractions

Frontierland is a land of attractions for both teenagers and families. If you like the thrills you must ride Big Thunder Mountain. And, if you're not easily scared, visit Phantom Manor and discover its sinister history. You can also test your shooting skills at the Rustler Roundup Shootin' Gallery (at extra cost). If you prefer history you can enjoy the Legends of the Wild West in Fort Comstock or enjoy a cruise around The Rivers of the Far West on the Mark Twain, an elegant steamboat sailing from the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing. You can also let your little cowboys (and girls) play in Pocahontas Indian Village or visit Critter Corral where they can discover farm animals. And, if you want to get to another land fast, you can always board the Disneyland Railroad at the Disneyland Railroad Frontierland Depot

[edit] Restaurants

The wild west has a fine menu of grill specialities which you can taste at the various restaurants in Frontierland. In the Silver Spur Steakhouse you can enjoy the best grill meals like the rich men of the wild west used to do. Or enjoy an original Western show in The Lucky Nugget Saloon with a tex-mex buffet. If you like Mexican food you can try the fajitas, chili and quesadillas at the haçienda Fuente del Oro Restaurante. If you like to barbeque, the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue is your place to eat: spare ribs, grilled chicken and hamburgers are their speciality. If you want a quick (Western) snack you can visit the Last Chance Cafe.

[edit] Boutiques

There are three boutiques in Frontierland, all located next to each other between Fort Comstock and the Fuente del Oro Restaurante. Western clothing can be found at Bonanza Outfitters. At Tobias Norton & Sons - Frontier Traders they trade almost everything! You can get you supplies at the Eureka Mining Supplies and Assay Office..
