As you walk under the Main Street Station you enter Main Street, U.S.A. which welcomes you to the Disneyland Park. Main Street, U.S.A. is a small American town at the beginning of the 20th century that probably never existed.

[edit] Town Square
Located at the front of Main Street, U.S.A., Town Square is the 'entrance' of Main Street, U.S.A. The Main Street Station is located here for a trip around the 'Magic Kingdom' as the speaker proudly anounces. On the left of Town Square there is the City Hall where you can make restaurant reservations or ask for information. To the right of the City Hall is the Storybook Store which sells books, and the entrance of Liberty Arcade. On the right of Town Square the Main Street Transportation Co. and the entrance of Discovery Arcade are located. In the center of Town Square there are some benches to enjoy the scene. The central kiosk at Town Square gives an excelent point for photos from the Main Street Station or the view at Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant down Main Street.
[edit] Side Streets
Further down Main Street, on the left, is located the largest shop in Disneyland Park: Emporium. Half way along Main Street there are two side streets: Flower Street on the left and Market Street on the right. At the end of Flower Street you can enter the halfway point of Liberty Arcade, just opposite of the Statue of Liberty Tableau. In the Market Street you can enjoy the sandwiches from Market House Deli or the icecream at The Ice Cream Company, the street also gives access to the Discovery Arcade.
[edit] Central Plaza
Continuing further down Main Street, U.S.A. the buildings stop and you walk into some lovely gardens. In these gardens the Information sign is located which displays the show times for the shows and parade and also the queue lengths for the top attractions. At the right of these gardens the Plaza Gardens Restaurant is located. Central Plaza lies in the center of the gardens and of the Disneyland Park, serving as a hub. From Central Plaza four paths radiate to the other four area's of the Disneyland Park. The most left-handed path goes to Frontierland through Fort Comstock from the Legends of the Wild West. The next path leads to Adventureland and goes through a bazaar. The path to Fantasyland of course goes through Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. Discoveryland has the least decorated entrance, you just walk besides a huge globe en between some moon rocks...
[edit] Attractions
Main Street, U.S.A. is principally a shopping area, and doesn't have that many 'Attractions' other than stores, when compared to other areas of the park. However, there are always things happening on Main Street, with various impromptu shows put on by cast members, and it's always a good place to catch the various Disney characters for an autograph and photo opportunity.
One of the few attractions at Main Street are the Horse-Drawn Street cars, an old tram that takes you through Main Street, on which you can take your time to enjoy the views and atmosphere of Main Street, U.S.A. You can also take a ride in one of the more modern Main Street Vehicles, which offer fast authentic transport to Central Plaza, where you have a beautiful view of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. When you want to travel quickly to another land, you can get on the Disneyland Railroad at the Main Street Station. If you'd rather take a calm walk, you can take a stroll through the two Main Street Arcades: Liberty Arcade, the historically oriented arcade, where you will, for instance, find elaborate information about the construction of the Statue of Liberty, and Discovery Arcade, where you can find drawings of historic scientists and their view of the future. Besides offering good protection against the occasional rain, they also give access to the fabulous restaurants and boutiques of Main Street.
[edit] Restaurants
There's a wide choice of restaurants in Main Street, U.S.A., from French meals at Plaza Garden Restaurant, to an American kitchen at Walt's - An American Restaurant. If you want something simpler, get a delicious New York style sandwich at the Market House Deli, or some popcorn from the numerous stands at the side of the street.
[edit] Boutiques
Main Street has a lot of nice boutiques, like Emporium, the largest boutique of the Disneyland Park with an extensive assortment of Disney souvenirs. Across the street is Boardwalk Candy Palace, which seems to spread a sweet smell of fresh candy.
