The Newport Bay Club Hotel is the largest hotel of Disneyland Resort Paris and with its nautical theme everybody will feel right at home.

When you go to Disneyland Resort Paris by car, probably the first thing you see is the Newport Bay Hotel (along with the Earful Tower in Walt Disney Studios Park). The hotel stands alongside Lake Disney, and is only a 15 minute walk away from the park. A chain of lights and the working lighthouse illuminate the hotel when it's dark.

The entire hotel is based around life on and around water. This is most obvious in the colors: white and blue. And in the indoor pool, where a ship is 'docked'. The inspiration for this hotel was a small harbor town in New England at the beginning of the 20th century. It is designed by the architect Robert Stern, who also designed the Cheyenne Hotel. The small lighthouse in Lake Disney completes the created atmosphere.

The Newport Bay Club Hotel also has a business centre of 5500 m², with 23 separate areas.

[edit] The room

The Newport Bay Club Hotel has 1098 rooms, including 15 suites.

The rooms have a size of 27m² and either have one kingsize bed (2 person rooms) or two queensize beds(4 person rooms). At the far side of the bed(s) is a large cupboard with a television. Next to this is a small table and two chairs. Some rooms have a view of Lake Disney (usually costs more). You can get connecting rooms on special request. The rooms also have air conditioning and central heating. They also have a sprinkler system and smokedetector. A hairdryer is available on request. If you leave your credit card number with reception, you can use the minibar too. Every room also contains a bathroom with a bath and a toilet, and two person hand basins.

[edit] Admiral's Floor

The top two floors of the hotel are reserved for the Admiral's Floor. The Admiral's Floor offers more luxury than the rest of the hotel, such as a separate reception and room service 24 hours a day. Most of the hotel's suites are on the Admiral's Floor. The rooms on the Admiral's Floor are equal to the 'normal' rooms.

[edit] Bridal Suite

The bridal suites are in the octagonal towers of the hotel. Every suite has a large bedroom with a kingsize bed, and a small living room to relax in, and to enjoy the view of Lake Disney.

[edit] Restaurants and bars

The hotel has two restaurants for breakfast and diner, and two bars for a nice drink at the end of a fun but tiring Disney day. Both restaurants are on the ground floor. When you enter the hotel from the parking lot, go down the stairs (left or right - it doesn't matter), and if you enter the hotel from the Lake Disney side. Don't go up the stairs but continue straight on, and you'll find the Yacht Club restaurant and the Cape Cod restaurant. Yacht Club serves New England sea specialities. On the menu of Cape Cod are fish and European dishes. Cape Cod is somewhat cheaper and a bit more relaxed than Yacht Club.

In the lobby of the hotel is a bar named Fisherman's Wharf Bar, a perfect place to enjoy a view of Lake Disney. The Captains Quarters Bar has piano music and is located opposite the Disney Store.

[edit] Tips

  • Use the shopping service which will bring your purchases from the parks to your hotel boutique!
  • If you have a credit card, couple it with your hotel identity card. This way you can pay in the resort just by showing your identity card. Your bills are put on your credit card. You can use your identity card until 11 o'clock on your departure day.
